Across Africa, classrooms are filled with learners who think differently, learn differently, and experience the world differently. Yet many of these differences are misunderstood what should be recognised as diversity is often treated as difficulty.

The African Neurodiversity Conference brings together educators, psychologists, special education needs coordinators, school leaders, and key stakeholders to explore innovative, evidence-based approaches to inclusive learning designed specifically for African educational realities.

TANC 2026 is a landmark moment: ANEP's flagship conference, creating a space where African and international professionals share research, lived experience, and actionable strategies that transform how we understand and support neurodiverse learners across the continent.

What is TANC 2026?

TANC The African Neurodiversity Conference is the first-ever physical conference organised by the Association of Nigerian Educational Psychologists (ANEP). It brings together educators, psychologists, researchers, advocates, and policy makers from across Africa and internationally to explore neurodiversity, inclusive education, and actionable strategies for supporting neurodiverse learners on the continent.

Can non-educators attend TANC 2026?

Absolutely! TANC 2026 is open to everyone with an interest in neurodiversity, inclusion, and education. Our audience includes psychologists, educators, school owners, inclusion specialists and advocates, SENCOs, behaviour analysts, therapists, professionals, students, researchers, and anyone interested in advancing inclusion and neurodiversity.

Is TANC 2026 in-person or virtual?

TANC 2026 is a hybrid conference you can attend in person at Children International School, Lagos, or virtually from anywhere in the world. Both options give you full access to all keynotes, panels, and sessions. Virtual participants will receive access details closer to the event date via their registered email address.

When does Early Bird pricing end?

Early Bird pricing is available until September 14, 2026. After this date, standard registration rates apply. We strongly encourage early registration to secure your place. At this time, no additional discounts are available outside the stated rates and promotional offers however, the group registration rate for five people offers the best per-person value.

Do schools get passes for the Young Minds Forum?

Yes. Registered schools (group ticket of 5) receive five complimentary passes for the Young Minds Forum a dedicated track for student participants. More information on eligibility and participation will be communicated to registered schools closer to the event.

Is there a travel discount for attending TANC 2026?

Yes TANC 2026 delegates can access a 10% discount with United Nigeria Airlines for eligible travel to the conference. Further details on how to access this discount will be communicated through our official TANC channels after registration.

Is accommodation provided for out-of-town participants?

TANC 2026 does not provide accommodation directly, but we can recommend a hotel approximately 12 minutes from the conference venue. Please contact us on WhatsApp at 08140028703 for hotel recommendations and further information.

Will certificates of participation be issued?

Yes. Certificates of participation will be issued to all registered participants who attend TANC 2026 both in-person and virtual.

Will there be academic paper presentations?

There will be no academic paper presentations at TANC 2026. However, ANEP is currently accepting submissions for the ANEP Journal (ANEP-J). Researchers and academics interested in publishing can explore the journal's Call for Papers and submission guidelines by contacting info@anep.org.ng.
